Ventorlin

Ventorlin (Salbutamol) is used to treat patients with asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. The medication relaxes the smooth muscle in the lung and dilates airways to improve breathing. The inhaler enables the medication to penetrate deep into the lungs for maximum benefit.

Follow your physician`s directions for using Ventorlin (Salbutamol) to get the best results from treatment. Ask your physician, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have to ensure the correct usage. Before use make sure that the canister is properly inserted into the inhaler unit and shake well. Exhale slowly and deeply. Position the mouthpiece between your lips and try to rest your tongue flat unless your physician has instructed you to hold the inhaler one or two inches away from your open mouth or to use a special spacing device. Press the canister down while inhaling deeply to draw the medication into the lungs. Hold your breath for as long as possible before exhaling to allow it to be absorbed. Put the cap back onto the inhaler and store it safely for the next use.

Side effects that may occur while using Ventorlin (Salbutamol) include fast heartbeats, nervousness, tremors, headaches, difficulty sleeping, or nausea. Contact your physician immediately if any symptoms become worrying or if you experience serious side effects such as rashes, hives, itching, wheezing, or increased difficulty breathing. Stop using the medication and proceed to the closest emergency medical department if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction including hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing.

If you do not feel relief after using Ventorlin (Salbutamol) contact your physician immediately. Do not use this medication if you have a history of hypersensitivity to salbutamol or if you are using any Beta Blocker medications. It is also suggested to inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding to make sure it will not cause any problematic effects.
