Levolin Inhaler (Levosalbutamol) (also spelled levalbuterol) is classified as a bronchodilator and it works by acting on the smooth muscles of the airways so as to allow the air passages to open up. This helps to make it easier for the lungs to take in air, allowing for better breathing. As a result of this, it can help to prevent and control symptoms of asthma (such as asthma attacks and bronchospasms), reversible obstructive airway disease or other related conditions. Some patients have also been treated with it for the prevention of exercise induced bronchospasms.

Levolin Inhaler (Levosalbutamol) contains enough medicine to allow the administration of 200 metered doses. It also features a dose counter to make it easier for the patient to know how many doses have been used. The exact dosage may vary depending on individual circumstances, and you must use it in strict accordance with the dosage regimen calculated by your physician. In some cases, adult patients may be directed by their physician to take 1 to 2 puffs of the inhaler per day. A lower dosage may suffice in certain cases. If you are not entirely sure of how to use the inhaler, refer to the instructions and ask your physician to show you.

Bear in mind that your physician should be informed if any side effects occur during the course of treatment with Levolin Inhaler (Levosalbutamol) to ensure that no serious symptoms are developing. Examples include:

• Shaking
• Feeling anxious
• Headache or vertigo
• Cramping in the legs
• Dry sensation in the mouth

Other side effects which have not been mentioned above are also possible. You must get immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer from bronchospasms, symptoms of extremely high blood pressure, frequent urination, weak feeling occurring in the muscles, a confused feeling or any other severe adverse events which are not listed here.
