Enacard is prescribed at a dosage dependant on the body weight of the dog. A starting dosage is 0.5 mg/kg daily is often used. This may be increased to 1.0mg/kg if the vet does not notice a significant improvement within two weeks of treatment.
In some cases, Enacard will be given in combination with furosemide and digoxin.
Enalapril may not be safe for use in pregnant dogs.
Enacard is a pet medicine and should never be taken by humans. Always keep tablets out of the reach of children. If tablets are swallowed by a human, contact a doctor immediately.
If Enacard is being taken along with a diuretic, there is a risk of renal problems.
