Apo-Azithromycin

Apo-Azithromycin (Azithromycin Dihydrate) is a macrolide antibiotic, which is considered to be an effective treatment for a wide range of infections, such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, respiratory tract infections, ear infections, skin infections, Lyme disease, typhoid and various other bacterial infections. The active ingredient in this drug helps to prevent the infection from spreading by preventing the bacteria from producing essential proteins, which results in the eventual destruction of the bacteria.

Each package of Apo-Azithromycin (Azithromycin Dihydrate) contains 2 tablets, each of which contains 500mg of the active ingredient. When used as a chlamydia treatment, the patient may be told by their physician to take 1000mg (administered as a single dose). Other conditions may be treated with different dosage regimens, and in all cases, patients must consult their physician before taking this medicine. It is essential that all dosage instructions provided by the prescribing physician are strictly followed.

Patients taking Apo-Azithromycin (Azithromycin Dihydrate) may sometimes experience side effects, such as:

• Headache
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Stomach pain
• Digestive disturbances

Side effects should be reported to the prescribing physician. If you notice sores around the mouth, appetite loss, severe fatigue, skin blisters, muscle weakness or any other symptoms of a severe reaction, seek medical care straight away.

It is possible that antibiotic medication can cause colitis. Patients who experience severe diarrhea (either during or after treatment) should immediately consult their physician.

This medication will not work for viral infections.
