Zolax

Zolax (Fluconazole) is prescribed to treat a wide range of fungal infections. This includes yeast infections of the vagina, mouth, throat, esophagus, abdomen, lungs, blood and other organs. Fluconazole belongs to a class of drugs called triazoles. They work by slowing the rate at which fungi grow. Zolax (Fluconazole) can also be used to treat meningitis of a fungal origin.

The dosage you will be prescribed will depend on the type of infection and the severity of the infection. It is important to take Zolax (Fluconazole) for the duration you are prescribed - do not stop taking it if you are feeling better.

Fluconazole capsules should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food.

Zolax (Fluconazole) can result in unwanted side effects. Some are only minor and should be only temporary. Tell your doctor if any of these become a problem or linger:

• headache
• dizziness
• diarrhea
• stomach pain
• heartburn
• change in ability to taste food

Some of the following may be signs of more serious side effects. Contact your doctor if you notice any of the following:

• nausea
• vomiting
• extreme tiredness
• unusual bruising or bleeding
• lack of energy
• loss of appetite
• pain in the upper right part of the stomach
• yellowing of the skin or eyes
• flu-like symptoms
• dark urine
• pale stools
• seizures
• rash
• blistering or peeling skin
• hives
• itching
• swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
• difficulty breathing or swallowing
