Diflucan One

Diflucan One (Fluconazole) is an anti-fungal medication used to treat a wide variety of infections caused by fungi or yeasts. Commonly treated conditions include athlete`s foot, jock itch, oral thrush, and vaginitis. The medication operates by preventing the reproduction of fungal cells to stop the spread of infection. This also allows the body to fight the infection naturally to eliminate the cells and symptoms.

Please note that this medication is only used for fungal infections and will not affect those caused by bacteria or a virus. Your doctor may also prescribe it to treat other unlisted conditions.

Diflucan One (Fluconazole) is typically prescribed to be taken in a fixed cycle lasting one to two weeks. During this time, you will usually be instructed to take one or two daily doses of one pill each. When administering your daily dosage, it is important to swallow the tablets whole along with a full glass of water. They may be taken with or without food, but a snack or meal before application is recommended if you get an upset stomach. Never alter the medication prior to use by splitting, chewing, crushing, or dissolving the contents in water.

Never stop taking your medication before instructed, even if your symptoms have disappeared. This can result in a relapse of symptoms that are stronger and more resistant to antibiotics.

Discuss if you have a cardiac condition, low calcium levels, or decreased liver or kidney function with your doctor as these conditions may require a reduced dosage to avoid health complications.
