Ozole

Ozole (Fluconazole) is an antifungal drug used to treat a variety of fungal and yeast infections such as those occurring in the lungs, bladder, blood, esophagus, throat and vagina. It belongs to a class of drugs known as azole antifungals, and works by slowing the growth of the fungi that cause the infection. This medication may also be used to prevent fungal infections in patients considered to be at risk of infection, such as those undergoing chemotherapy.

Ozole (Fluconazole) tablets should be taken orally. The exact dosage varies depending on the condition being treated. Vaginal infections are sometimes treated with a single dose, however patients should always consult their physician before taking this medication in order to determine the correct dosage required to treat their particular condition. Patients should continue to take this medication until they have finished the course of medication prescribed, even if their symptoms disappear. Patients who stop taking this medication prematurely risk a more serious relapse.

Mild side effects which have been reported by patients taking Ozole (Fluconazole) including mild abdominal pain, an unpleasant taste in the mouth, diarrhea, headaches or dizziness.

Although it is rare, some patients have reported experiencing some more serious side effects. Consult your physician immediately if you notice:

• Severe peeling of the skin or blisters
• Extreme fatigue
• Abnormal bruising or bleeding
• Dark urine or clay colored stools
• Seizures
