Tobramycin Injection

Tobramycin Sulphate (Tobramycin Sulphate) is an injectable antibiotic, capable of eliminating the bacteria that causes infections. It is a type of aminoglycoside antibiotic, which is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections.

Tobramycin Sulphate (Tobramycin Sulphate) is injected, either into a muscle or vein, sometimes at 8 hour intervals. Your physician will normally need to conduct medical tests in order to determine the correct dosage required. This injection is normally administered by a physician or other health care professional. If your physician has told you to inject it at home, and has shown you how to properly inject it, you should only administer the prescribed dosage, and follow all instructions provided to you by your physician.

Tobramycin Sulphate (Tobramycin Sulphate) can cause:

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Pain at injection site
• Irritation where the injection was administered
• Pale skin

Other serious side effects may occur. Consult your physician if you notice any serious side effects, such as muscle twitching, seizures, numbness or any other unusual side effects.

Tobramycin Sulphate (Tobramycin Sulphate) may cause severe nerve damage and kidney problems, which may result in permanent hearing loss.

Older patients, those with kidney disease or patients using this medication for a prolonged period of time are at greater risk of this occurring. Discuss the risks of using this medication with your physician.
