Uses

Staphban Ointment (Mupirocin) is an antimicrobial used to treat bacterial infections in dogs. It is indicated in the treatment of of the skin, including superficial pyoderma, caused by susceptible strains of staphylococcus aureus and staphylococcus intermedius.

Dosage and Administration

Each tube of Staphban contains 15gm of ointment. The ointment contains 2% mupirocin.

Staphban is usually applied twice daily. Make sure to cleanse the area prior to applications.

Mupirocin should not be applied for any longer than 30 days. If the condition worsens or has not improved within 30 days, contact your vet.

Precautions

Staphban is a pet medicine intended for use in dogs only.

The safety of Mupirocin in pregnant dogs has not been established.
