Symptoms which this cream has been shown to improve include hot flushes and vaginal dryness. It can also be used to treat such conditions as hypoestrogenism, vaginal atrophy, and post-menopausal osteoporosis.

Premarin Vaginal Cream (Conjugated Estrogen) is to be applied topically as advised by your physician.

Consult your physician if you are unsure about how to use the cream. Usually patients will be prescribed this medication for a few weeks at a time with one week off, in a similar to how female oral contraception is used.

Side effects of Premarin Vaginal Cream (Conjugated Estrogen) which have been reported by patients using this medication include headaches, nausea, vomiting, bloating, back pains, weight changes, mood changes, and vaginal bleeding.

In some very rare cases this medication has been linked to blood clots causing deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, heart attacks, or strokes. If you notice any numb sensations, left arm pain, severe headaches, confusion, vision changes, or slurred speech, seek medical attention immediately.

Do not smoke while using Premarin Vaginal Cream (Conjugated Estrogen).

Make sure you physician is aware if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Before you begin taking this medication always disclose any prescribed medication, over-the-counter medicine, herbal products, or dietary supplements which you are taking.

It is also very important that you disclose any other health conditions or illnesses which you suffer from or have suffered from recently. It is especially important you inform your physician of any heart-related conditions, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, kidney or liver conditions, low calcium levels, hypothyroidism, Endometriosis, Cancer, Unexplained vaginal bleeding.
