Mycospor (Bifonazole) is a type of antifungal cream used to kill fungi and yeasts. This cream is commonly used to treat athlete`s foot. It does this by inhibiting the production of a substance known as ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. By interfering with the cell membranes of the fungi, it helps to eliminate the fungi that caused the infection.
Before applying Mycospor (Bifonazole) patients should wash and dry their feet. They should then apply the cream to the affected area, once daily, preferably just before going to bed. Patients should consult their physician before applying this cream, in order to determine how long the treatment is required.
Depending on the condition, you may need to continue treatment for 2 to 4 weeks or as directed by your physician. You should only use this cream as directed by your physician, and never use it for longer than is necessary.
Some side effects which have been reported by patients using Mycospor (Bifonazole) include:
If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your physician immediately.
