Dandrop

Dandrop Lotion (Ketoconazole/Zinc Pyrithinone) is an anti-fungal medication which is similar to other Imidazoles such as Clotrimazole, Miconazole, and Itraconazole. This treatment also contains aloevera, p-collagen, and panthenol which arebeneficial to the scalp and hair. It is used to treat certain yeast infections and fungal infections such as dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis (flaky, scaly, and/or greasy scalp, chest, or groin).

Dandrop Lotion (Ketoconazole/Zinc Pyrithinone) is applied topically to the affected area(s). It is for external use only. Do not apply to any cut, broken, or burnt skin, and avoid applying to near to your mouth, eyes, nose, or ears.

The lotion is usually applied 1 or 2 times per day, as determined by your doctor. The length of treatment varies depending on the severity and the condition being treated. Before applying the lotion always wash and dry your hands and the area of skin being treated.

Even if the condition being treated appears to have disappeared you must finish the course of medication you have been prescribed, as not doing so could result in a severe relapse of the infection.

Usually Dandrop Lotion (Ketoconazole/Zinc Pyrithinone) is well tolerated and does not result in any serious adverse effects.

Mild side effects which may be experienced include stinging sensations, redness, or general skin irritation. Inform your doctor of any side effects which you experience. Promptly report any which worsen or persist.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following:

• Blister formation
• Open sores
• Extreme dizziness
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as facial swelling, skin rashes, hives, trouble breathing, or trouble swallowing

Dandrop Lotion (Ketoconazole/Zinc Pyrithinone) may not be safe for all patients. In order to limit possible risks, always disclose all of the following to your doctor.

• Any allergies which you suffer from
• Any other illnesses or conditions you suffer from
• Any other medication you are taking, whether prescription or non-prescription and off-the-shelf, (especially if you are using any other creams ointments, or topical medications of any kind)
• Any herbal products, supplements, or vitamins which you take
