D.A. Double Advantage Spot On Solution (Imidacloprid/Permethrin) is a canine medication which works as a treatment and preventative against a variety of parasites such as fleas, biting flies, mosquitoes, lice and ticks. Additional to destroying existing parasites, it also offers one month`s worth of protection against new parasites including deer ticks, long star ticks, American dog ticks and brown dog ticks, some of these being a popular carrier for Lyme disease.
The treatment eliminates existing parasites by attacking their nervous systems and inhibiting them form multiplying. Generally it is effective within 12 hours for application. After 24 hours the liquid applied is fully waterproof and the dog can partake in all normal activities including swimming and bathing.

The following is meant as a general guide for application only. First snap off the tip of the pipette and locate the area between your dog`s shoulder blades and part the fur as much as possible. Then you squeeze the contents of the pipette directly on to the dog`s skin where you have parted the fur.
Dispose of the pipette carefully ensuring any remaining liquid does not touch anything. For 24 hours keep the application area dry, and do not touch it or allow any children or other pets to touch it. Clean your hands well, using soap, both before and after application. To maintain protection, reapply every 30 days. During summer months when risks are higher, it is advised that you apply this treatment every 3 weeks to provide stronger protection.
Adverse effects are very rare but can happen. The most commonly reported side effects of D.A. Double Advantage Spot On Solution (Imidacloprid/Permethrin) include redness, irritation, and oiliness at the application area. These should all be temporary, so any any persist you should consult your vet as soon as you can.
D.A. Double Advantage Spot On Solution (Imidacloprid/Permethrin) is not suitable for puppies under 8 weeks of age.
