Yasmin

Yasmin (Drospirenone/Ethinylestradiol) is a female hormone prescribed to regulate ovulation and prevent pregnancy. It may also be used to prevent the symptoms of menopause by boosting waning levels of estrogen. These may include hot flashes or vaginal dryness. Your physician may also prescribe this medication to treat other unlisted conditions.

Always follow your physician`s instructions while using Yasmin (Drospirenone/Ethinylestradiol) to get the most effective results. One tablet is normally taken each day whole and unaltered along with a full glass of water. They may be taken with or without food

Side effects that may occur while using Yasmin (Drospirenone/Ethinylestradiol) include:

• Nausea or vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Headaches
• Tenderness or swelling of the breasts
• Unusual mood changes
• Vaginal irritation

Patients may also experience serious symptoms such as severe headaches, unusual vaginal bleeding, numbness, lumps in the breast, chest pain, discolored stools or urine, or jaundice. Contact your physician if you encounter any severe problems that worry you.

Do not use Yasmin (Drospirenone/Ethinylestradiol) if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a history of blood clots, angina, migraines, history of breast cancer, gallstones, jaundice, porphyrias, herat valve disease, kidney disease, or reduced liver function. Also disclose if you have obesity, heart failure, history of gallstones, diabetes, hypertension, varicose veins, history of depression, ulcerative colitis, decreased kidney function, or migraines.
