Urimax (Tamsulosin) is used to treat men suffering from the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The medication prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone to reduce the size of the prostate. This may also reduce the occurrence of symptoms associated with this condition including inability to empty the bladder, difficulty urinating, or involuntary leakage of urine.
