Myocrisin Injection

Myocrisin Injection (Sodium Aurothiomalate) is given to relieve pain and reduce inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis. It contains gold salt which is effective in suppressing the immune system, inhibiting it from over reacting when injected into the patient`s muscle. This drug helps to alleviate the symptoms associated whilst also inhibiting the condition from worsening. However it does not cure the condition.

Myocrisin Injection (Sodium Aurothiomalate) is administered by injection, therefore it will normally be injected by a health care provider in a health clinic. You may have to attend regular urine and blood tests to review your body`s reaction to the medication to ensure it is not causing harm to your blood or kidneys. Full effects of this medication may not be experienced until after a few months of correct usage.

Myocrisin Injection (Sodium Aurothiomalate) may cause the following side effects. Always report side effects to your physician.

• Nausea
• Diarrhoea
• Odd tastes in mouth
• Throat may feel sore or discomfort
• Fever
• Odd bruising or bleeding
• Mouth ulcers
• Skin rashes
• Conjunctivitis
• Trouble breathing
• Hair loss
