Fluka

Fluka (Fluconazole) is used to treat vaginal yeast infections (vaginal thrush or vaginal fungal infections). Fluka impairs the growth of most common types of vaginal yeast or fungus.

Fluka is sold as a single tablet containing 150mg of Fluconazole.

Fluconazole is an oral tablet, usually taken alone as a single dose.

Fluconazole should show some signs of improvement within a few days.

The most common side effects associated with Fluka (fluconazole) are nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, or dizziness. These occur relatively frequently, however if they become a problem to you or they persist for longer than expected, contact your doctor.

If you show any signs of liver disease (severe stomach/abdominal pain, persistent nausea/vomiting, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine, unusual tiredness) or allergic reaction rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing) while taking fluconazole, notify your doctor right away.

Your doctor should be aware of any medications you are taking, and medical conditions, and any allergies you have.

Is is especially important to tell you doctor if:

• you have liver disease
• you have kidney disease
• you have heart problems (or a family history of heart problems)
• you have low levels of blood potassium or magnesium
• you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant
• you are breast feeding

Fluconazole will cause dizziness in some people who take it. Do not drive a car or operate machinery unless you know that Fluconazole will not have this effect on you.

Alcohol intake should be reduced and stopped if possible.

Tell your doctor if:

• this is your first vaginal yeast infection
• this is the 2nd such infection within a two-month period
• treatment is for a girl under 12 years old
