Depsol

Depsol (Imipramine Hydrochloride) is classified as a TCA (tricyclic antidepressant) and it belongs to the dibenzazepine compound group. Its pharmacologic effects are due to its affects on the nerve endings. By inhibiting the uptake of norepinephrine, it may help to trigger an increase in the concentrations of neurotransmitters in the brain. Experts have theorized that this can boost and enhance the mood of patients who are depressed as a result of major depressive disorder or other related illnesses. Physicians have also used it to treat patients for panic disorder or enuresis.

Depsol (Imipramine Hydrochloride) tablets contain 25mg of the main ingredient. A complete assessment of the patient`s symptoms will be carried out by the physician in charge of treatment so that a dosage regimen corresponding to this can be calculated. Adults undergoing treatment for depression may be instructed to administer 75mg per day (as 3 to 4 separate doses). Subsequent changes may also be ordered by the physician, however patients should not alter their dosage unless instructed to do so by their physician. The dosage for primary nocturnal enuresis may differ, and patients will need to comply with their physician`s orders.

• Skin photosensitivity
• Inflammation of the breasts

Attend the emergency room or consult your physician straight away if you notice spasms, shaking which you are unable to control, difficulty walking properly, seizures, pain which is noticeable when urinating or any other serious reactions that have not been referenced here.

Depsol (Imipramine Hydrochloride) might cause clinical worsening and suicidal ideation in rare cases. Ensure that you fully discuss this with your physician before the commencement of treatment.

Patients who have recently suffered from a heart attack may be directed by their physician not to take this medicine.
