Cerazette (Desogestrel) is an oral contraceptive pill. Taken daily, it can reduce the chances of a woman becoming pregnant. Cerazette (Desogestrel) contains only progestagen (no oestrogen), so it differs from a combination contraceptive pill in that it can be used by women who are unable to take oestrogens and by women who are breast-feeding.
Cerazette (Desogestrel) must be taken on a daily basis. Tablets are swallowed whole with a glass of water. Each packet contains 28 tablets and will be clearly labelled with arrows and days of the week to make scheduling your tablets easier. Start by taking the tablet marked with the corresponding day of the week in the first row, and continue taking the tablet that matches each day. When you reach the end of the last rwo, complete the pack be using any of the remaining tablets in the first row. Take Cerazette (Desogestrel) for as long as needed. You can stop taking it at any time, however, as soon as you stop taking Cerazette (Desogestrel), you are no longer protected from becoming pregnant.
