C-NAC Eye Drops (Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose/N-Acetyl-Carnosine) eye drops are used to treat a variety of eye conditions, including disorders affecting the cornea, dry eye syndrome and pinguecula. Many people believe that they may be useful as a senile cataract treatment. Other uses include treating open angle primary glaucoma, presbyopia, diseases of the retina and other conditions which are not mentioned here.
C-NAC Eye Drops (Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose/N-Acetyl-Carnosine) eye drops must be instilled into the affected eye or eyes, exactly as directed by the prescribing physician. Never apply more than the correct amount. Physicians generally instruct patients to use 1 to 2 drops, twice per day. The exact amount will be decided by the physician providing treatment.
C-NAC Eye Drops (Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose/N-Acetyl-Carnosine) may cause stinging in some patients. If it is serious, or if any other severe side effects occur, you should immediately seek medical attention.
These eye drops come supplied with a special dropper to allow the proper amount to be applied. However, it is very important to ensure that the dropper does not become contaminated.
Patients who wear contact lenses may be instructed by their physician to remove them before applying the eye drops. Contact lenses should only be worn while the eyes are being treated with these eye drops if a physician says that it is safe to do so.
If you have an allergic or hypersensitive reaction, seek emergency medical attention. Possible symptoms include difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing, swelling, chest tightness, skin rashes, and hives.
C-NAC (Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose/N-Acetyl-Carnosine) should only be used as instructed and prescribed by your physician or pharmacist. Do not alter your dosage unless specifically instructed to do so by either of the above. Dosage and usage often depends on the severity of the condition, as well as the patient`s medical history and current health condition.
