Asthafen (Ketotifen Fumarate) is an oral treatment intended to prevent the occurrence of asthma attacks. This medicine is classified as a type of H1-antihistamine, and it also exhibits antiasthmatic action. However, it is described by experts as a non-bronchodilator medicine. Studies have shown that it may work for asthma by blocking hyperactivity in the airways and preventing the release of leukotrienes, histamine and other mediators of inflammation.
