Tugain Gel

Tugain Gel (Minoxidil) is used for the treatment of male type baldness (androgenic alopecia) in men and women.

Tugain Gel (Minoxidil) stimulates hair growth in androgen-dependent baldness. The mechanism of enhanced hair growth is presumably associated with vasodilation and improvement of microcirculation in the skin and trophism of hair follicles, stimulation of the transition of hair follicles from the resting phase (telogen phase) to the growth phase (anagen phase). Tugain Gel (Minoxidil) modulates the effects of androgens on hair follicles. It reduces the formation of 5-alpha dehydrosterone (possibly indirectly), which plays a significant role in the formation of baldness.

Tugain Gel (Minoxidil) has the best effect when the duration of the disease does not exceed 10 years, young patients, localization of baldness in the area of ​​the crown, no larger than 10 cm in size and the presence of more than 100 vellus and terminal hairs in the center of the baldness.

Tugain Gel (Minoxidil) does not prevent hair loss caused by drugs, malnutrition (iron deficiency, vitamin A, etc.), taut hairstyles ("tail", "beam", etc.). A positive effect was observed in a significant proportion of patients with disease duration of no more than 3-5 years.
