Terazosin (Terazosin) is used to treat symptoms of urinary obstruction which has occurred as a result of an enlarged prostate. It is proven to ease urine flow by relaxing the muscles at the bladder neck and prostate. This medication may also be prescribed by your physician to treat high blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels.
Patients taking Terazosin (Terazosin) are usually prescribed to take 1 tablet daily at bedtime. Unless specifically instructed otherwise by your physician, never take more than 1mg in a 24 hour period. Patients should not stop taking this medication without first consulting their physician, as their dosage may first need to be gradually decreased to help the body adjust to the change without causing any unwanted symptoms as a result.
Minor side effects associated with taking Terazosin (Terazosin) include nausea, blurred vision, headache or stuffy nose. Other rare, but serious side effects that may occur include:
