Minomycin

Minomycin (Minocycline) is given to help with various bacterial infections including severe acne, STDs such as gonorrhoea and chlamydia, tick fever, UTI (urinary tract infection), respiratory tract infections, and skin infections. It is a tetracycline anti-biotic drug that will work to combat the bad bacteria in the patient`s system. Please note that this medication will not help treat infections that are viral such as flu or the common cold.

Minomycin (Minocycline) capsules should be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. For best results, dose on an empty stomach. You may require regular examinations to review your thyroid, kidney and liver function to check for any side effects. This drug may interfere with other medicines and cause false results in urine tests, before undergoing any medical examination including urine tests or dental surgery, you must inform the health provider that you are taking this drug.

Inform your physician immediately of any side effects you experience. The following side effects may be experienced when taking Minomycin (Minocycline):

• Headaches
• Dizziness
• Tiredness
• Discoloured nails, skin or gums
• Nausea
• Diarrhoea
• Abnormal urine or urination
• Itching or Rashes
• Swelling of the tongue
• vaginal discharge or itchiness
• Discomfort or cramps of the joints, chest or stomach
• Weakness
• Flu-like symptoms
• Mouth or throat sores
• Jaundice (yellow skin)
• Abnormal bruising
• Abnormal numbness or tingling
• Loss of appetite
• Abnormal weight change
• A change in your heart rhythm
• Coughing or wheezing
• Ringing in your ears
• Swollen glands
• Abnormal mood changes
