Epi-Otic Ear (Lactic acid/Salicylic Acid) is a slow-release solution used to clean the ears of dogs or cats, removing crust and excessive cerumen without causing irritation. It aids hydration and helps to protect the skin against environment damage such as pollution. Additionally it can be given to help treat Otitis Externa, where the ear canal becomes inflamed from a fungal or bacterial based infection.
It may be used for routine cleansing with kittens and puppies of any age to help maintain healthy ears.
Always administer Epi-Otic Ear (Lactic acid/Salicylic Acid) to your pet under your vet`s guidance, as dosage can vary between animals depending on individual factors. The following steps are for general guidance only. Before administration, ensure your hands are clean and dry and that the bottle is gently shaken so that the solution inside is well mixed.
Open the nozzle and squirt out some of the solution directly into the ear canal and massage the base of your pet`s ear to thoroughly capture the medicine. Squeeze a small amount of solution out onto the cloth and gently wipe the interior of the ear flap and the immediate area around it. Typically you may be directed to repeat these steps 2 to 7 times per week depending on your pet and what you are using the cleanser for.
There are no known side effects to Epi-Otic Ear (Lactic acid/Salicylic Acid) to date, but should you notice any possible adverse effects, you should be prompt in notifying your vet for further advice and to discuss if further use of the cleanser is safe.
Epi-Otic Ear (Lactic acid/Salicylic Acid) suitable for use with cats and dogs only.
