Clobetasol (Clobetasol Propionate) is a topical corticosteroid which is of particular value when used in short courses for conditions which do not respond satisfactorily to less active steroids. It is used to reduce inflammation and to treat psoriasis and eczema. Clobetasol Propionate works by acting inside the skin cells to decrease the release of these inflammatory substances. This reduces swelling, redness and itching.
Clobetasol (Clobetasol Propionate) sparingly to the affected area once or twice daily until improvement occurs. Ask your doctor for instructions on how to properly apply it. You must not apply more than your doctor recommends, and it is also important that it is not used for longer than the recommended treatment period.
