Clarbact

Clarbact (Clarithromycin) is antibiotic used to fight and manage various bacterial infections. It is usually used for skin and respiratory system infections, although it has also proved successful in fighting stomach ulcers caused by heliobacter pylori. It can be used either alone, or in combination with other medication for best results.

Correct dosage can vary depending on the patient and the type and severity of the infection, as a result patients should always take Clarbact (Clarithromycin) as they have been instructed and prescribed.

Tablets should be swallowed whole without chewing, splitting, crushing, or dissolving. Wash down tablets with a large glass of water. Dosing can usually be done either on an empty stomach or alongside food as is convenient. If you experience stomach upset, dosing alongside food usually reduces the discomfort experienced.

Courses of this medication usually last between 1 and 2 weeks in length. Always complete the course of medication you have been prescribed, unless your physician or another health care professional specifically instructs you otherwise. Not finishing a course of antibiotics risks the growth of a stronger and more medicine-resistant infection.

• Genital itch
• Changes in taste
• Changes in teeth color

Seek medical attention as soon as possible if you notice any of the following:

• Fever
• Severe nausea
• Severe stomach or abdomen pain
• Bloody, watery, or tarry stool
• Darkened urine
• Jaundice
• Change in appetite
• Changes in hearing
• Severe or persistent sore throat
