Carloc

Carloc (Carvedilol) is often prescribed to help with high blood pressure or heart failure. It can also be used to aid survival after a heart attack. It is a non-selective alpha and beta blocker that reduces strain on the heart thus aiding a more effective recovery. This medicine can be used with anti-hypertensive medicines as well as used alone, speak to your doctor for more information.

Use Carloc (Carvedilol) exactly as prescribed by your doctor to avoid any undesired side effects. It is commonly taken twice a day, at the same time each day with water and food.

Possible side effects will include the following.

• Hypotension, hypoglycemia and asthenia
• Fatigue
• An upset stomach i.e diarrhea
• Feeling dizzy (mild)
• Weight gain (may be unexplained)
• Vision changes, abnormal vision

• Feeling tingly, numb, thirsty or hungry
• Your toes and/or fingers turning blue in color
• Easy bruising and/or bleeding
• Irregular and slow heart beat
• Changes in your mood or urination (frequency or quantity)
• Seizures
• Weakness
• Fainting
• Pains in the chest area
• Unusual perspiring

Tell your doctor before you stop taking Carloc (Carvedilol) as it may be dangerous to stop without a planned gradual switch. Abruptly stopping may result in dangerous side effects.

Driving or operation of dangerous machinery are not advised until the patient is fully aware of how severe his or her side effects are. This drug may induce dizziness and reduce alertness.
